Hello folks...

This is the new member sandbox. Until you post a little something about yourself here, you don't get to play on the rest of the board. So tell us a little something about yourself and your signals.

Hello folks...

My name's the same as my username. I'm from Shelton, Washington and I'm probably the most enthusiastic 3M HVS collector, with seven traffic signal heads and one 3M HVS M131 pedestrian signal (that one has the WALK/DONT WALK lenses).

In addition to my 3M signal collection, I've also owned a Durasig in the past, and now own an Econolite short-groove 8" RYG head in addition to a MarkIV 12" RYG head, both with tunnel visors.

Hi, I have a couple of 3M signals myself, they are not commonly used in the Chicago area anymore. At one time they were all over. With your signals do you have the new LED bulbs in any of the signals. I have been trying to aquire a 3M pedestrian signal for a long time almost won it e-bay but it got to expensive for me so I will keep trying. I have 2 complete signal heads. A school bus yellow with all regular ball lenses and a dark green with arrow lenses. I also have 2 in pieces missing parts. Have you ever seen or herd of the strange Chicago 3M attachment arrow signal that was a bimodual or some sort of devise that changed from green to yellow it had the same shape maybe bigger than a regular 3M housing. I used to see them all the time. I want to capture a picture of it or a video but no seems to know what I am talking about. I can even remember which intersections some of them were used. Now they are all gone. Great heavy signals.

Steven
welcome aboard! Good to see your 3Ms are still hanging in there! Let me know if you ever need parts for them as I have a few. Does your 12" MarkIV have 3M (Model 150) inserts in it??? Let me know if you are looking for some....they look great in 12" heads!

Welcome! It's been so long since I heard from you on the signal forums, I forgot you were even a member back on MSN!

Thanks, John. :)

Yeah, I remember way back when the club was on Yahoo! Groups (at the time, it was called Yahoo! Clubs, LOL).

Was back in the Yahoo! days I bought my first 3M signal. :)

Steve,

I remember that as well. I also remember when it changed, and our desire to get on the now-sinking MSN boat...
