BTW, looks like I'll be out of comission for making gaskets and harnesses for a few weeks. I'm going to get my left shoulder carved on next Tuesday so I'll be running around with my arm in a sling for about six weeks. But I'll be back!

Hope you have a speedy recovery, surgery is no fun.

The old CH sockets that you have to dig the ??? out of to get to the terminals, what do you use to cover the terminals after they are rewired??

Thanks for your tips and advice!!! :hello:

Black hot melt glue

Thanks, I didn't know that stuff was available in black, that should work very well!!

Hi Mark,

We have some sockets like yours in our CH "DT" light. Thought about using black silicone to reseal/cover the terminal end. Silicone is a good insulator for 110vac.

Cheers!

You can also get the original black stuff from McMaster Carr........I have a box of it but ya have to melt it etc so I work with the black silicone also....looks great and easy to use. Also used some epoxy on a set...figured I would never have to rewire them again...at least in my lifetime!
