New guy from So. California

Found your forum on a online search. Figured I pop in and look around a bit. Seems like a tightly held community based on the the temporary membership rules. Not sure what I can bring to the table as I haven't had a chance to search the forums yet. I do have many years of traffic signal construction experience as a contractor here in California. I also like old cars, motorcycles, and signals. So with that said, Thanks for letting me join the forums guess I will have a look around.

FIRST NAME, LAST INITIAL:
Mark M
(CITY or COUNTY) & STATE IN WHICH YOU RESIDE:
Rancho Cucamonga, CA
OCCUPATION(s):
Electrical Contractor
WHY DID YOU WANT TO JOIN THIS FORUM (BE AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE PLEASE)?:
My career is based around traffic signals and street lighting systems. So naturally when this forum popped up in a search I decided to take a look around. As was said above, at this point I'm not sure how I can contribute. However I do Have a interest in restoration of all older items such as cars, motorcycles, boats, houses, etc. I never realized the interest of collectors in traffic signal equipment. I guess deep down I must be a signal collector of some sort. I do have an old cabinet out back that is cool enough it has evaded the scrap pile for many years. Think it even has an electro-mechanical controller inside. searching around the forums kind of makes me want to see if it still works.

Don't let that distract you. We always toss that out there from jump street. Helps to thin the crowd, if you can do the simple things upfront it's usually a measure of who will or won't fit in the forum moving forward. The information we have posted which our group in general has amassed, can only be found collectively here at STF. You'll find most everyone is eager to help out with an abundance of technical support, so if you have something to add at some point ... that would be fantastic :thumbsup:. Anyone with a vested interest in traffic lights or their history will be amazed at what some of these guys have and share with the group.

Again, Welcome and please have a look around. :thumbsup:

Welcome Mark, I've posted on your Electo-Matic thread before seeing the welcome thread. I'm up in the NW employed by the city. I like seeing more west coast people although it seems like all the cool stuff is back east.
