As mentioned, there does not seem to be enough interest in a full fledged meet. However, Mike (coyttl) will be visiting some time between August 24th and August 31 for a couple of days. If there are specific dates which work for others, it would be great to include anyone who would like to join us. I do need to give Mike some specific dates as soon as possible so the rest of his trip itinerary can be inked.

Since Mike is driving down from San Francisco, it would be best to plan on either end of the dates mentioned. Please share your thoughts and whether you can commit a day or 2. Thanks!

I arrive in SFO in the late evening of Aug 23rd. I head out morning of Sep 1st.

Any days in between those work. I'd have to leave SFO to get down to LA the morning of the 24th at the earliest (if we would want to meet at that weekend) or I would have to leave no later than the afternoon of the 31st to get up to the airport for the morning flight (if we were to meet at the end of the week).

Since the purpose of my trip is to visit family members in San Jose, I can't stay *all* week down there - two or three days, including the drive. :thumbsup:

I have plans labour day weekend and probably the prior as well. If I make it out there it'd have to be a different time.

The weekend would be best. We can see a lot and encounter less traffic, and it will be great meeting you. Hopefully a few locals can join us for at least part of the time. Figure 5-6 hour drive (one way) to and from the Bay Area if you travel on Interstate 5.
