Hi Lewis,

Welcome to the forum!

It appears there's another traffic light man in the group!

You have a good collection, particularly the road lamps. I'm also quite fond of road lamps, though I think I have too many to count! I notice you're running your signals from a car battery, I assume - do your heads no longer have the internal gubbins?

I received the UK spec AluStar directly from Techmiracle not long after the company had released the UK spec head to the market (manufacturing under license from Swarco). I mentioned that the signal design was a favourite of mine in a news article that I appeared in, and the company contacted me not long after.

I doubt AluStar heads will appear in private hands for some time to come. They are a newish design, and there isn't a great deal of them about. I think the Telent/TSEU 3G head stole their market slightly by using a similarly modern deign, the same optics, but much lighter weight and much cheaper.

Thank you a couple of months I tried to tell the Motus traffic company if they had a spare head which they told me that they didn't have any disused alustars but they did say that I can take a pick on a traffic signal that has been disused
thank you for telling me :good:

Oh yeah I forgot to say that I got an LED head out of PEEK which was very helpful because now I have got six sets and also just a subject about PEEK they were changing those halogen PEEK heads to TLED I spoke to an engineer and he said they take less energy and they are much brighter even today I was thinking whats better the CLS or TLED well I SAY CLS. can I have pictures of all your traffic signals please thanks.

I've only seen the T-LED gear switched off, though they're on a route that I use quite regularly so should get to see them in use soon. I can't judge them yet - but they've not really had time to prove themselves in the field yet so that should be a good indicator of what is better.

The original LED heads are my favourite.

I'll get you some pictures soon. I'll most likely put them in the International forum.
