To all of those of you to whom I owe gaskets and sockets

I know it's been a long time since you sent me your stuff, and in some cases payment up front, and I feel terrible that I've taken so goshawful long to get these jobs done. But I do feel I owe you all an explanation for the delay.

Almost two month ago I contracted a real nasty case of bronchitis and at the same time was diagnosed with COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. A week or two after that my sister-in-law who has been living with us for the last 8 or 9 years and has been fighting breast cancer for the last three years was discovered to have had the cancer spread from her breasts to her bones, her back and her brain. Following this it became necessary to put in a skilled nursing facility where she remained until her passing away in the morning of Saturday Sept. 21.

Since then we have been up to our eyeballs making all the arrangements, helping people come here from out of state, etc. etc.

As a result of all this I haven't had a moment to even think about signal jobs, and deeply and sincerely
apologize for the delay. I'm going to do my best to get going on all of the jobs that have backed up and hopefully get these jobs turned out within the next two or three weeks. As many of you know, I'm only home on the weekends so I don't have nearly the time to devote to signals as I would if I were retired, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I will offer this-If any of you feel that the wait is unacceptable, please let me know and I'll return your items and refund any money that's already been paid, 'for those of you that are willing to wait, I want to thank you for your patience and understanding.

I'm afraid that's about the best I can offer.

Thanks,

Gordon, I'm very sorry to hear about your situation and the passing of your sister-in-law. Hopefully they were able to make her last days relatively comfortable at the assisted care facility. I hope too that you are on the road to recovery. I don't think anyone could fault you for delays.

Hang in there and get well soon.
