AGA traffic lights [Sweden]

Postby Siemens Traffic on Sun Aug 02, 2009 8:00 pm

Here are pictures of my 1960's AGA lights that where made in Sweden. Just finished mocking them up before breaking them down to be repainted. The 3 section from 1967 was giving to me for free from the city in 2003 since someone vandalized the light by ripping of green door, lens and reflector out of the signal, the parts where never found again. This was the last AGA signal in service in Ängelholm.

Lucky for me, this weekend I just pick up 4 AGA 2 sections signals from Malmö. One was heavily damage by local youngsters when the decided tossing rocks was a cool thing to do that day. Well at least it help me get hold of missing parts that I needed for me 3 section light.

Out of the 4 that i picked up. Going to keep one in my collection as a ped singal and the other one for spare parts. Thinking about putting the other two up for sale or a trade later this fall.

Late model AGA signals 8" signals. They where made just before AGA wanted to get out of the signal business and sold its signal division LM Ericsson in Denmark. The AGA logo was removed and a logo EGRAM was put in its place.

I love the look of the large bead lenses, and the signals somewhat resemble the older type...

Have spider-web lenses ever been used in Sweden?

Do those lenses have any writting on the inside lip?
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

Phil, the reflectors look similar to the first generation 8 inch Duasigs signals.
