Could be a signal contractor issue. :glare:
Most road projects have subcontractors do the specialized work (Tends to be Gerstner Electric here (St Louis)).
The signal supplier will still have to meet the jurisdiction's requirements.
Some jurisdictions have a "We want this only" view (MoDOT uses exclusively Durasig heads & MTS Ped heads)
MoDOT is currently doing whole intersection upgrades where they change out all the heads at once (sometimes its just yellow Durasigs to black Durasigs).

:hello: Just a thought

I'm really sorry about bumping this old post, but does the back look similar to that of an Eagle Durasig?

Kind of a cross between a poly Econolite bubble-back, a Durasig and a poly LFE. AKA just another signal with a design just big enough for reflectors that largely are never used anymore.

deMco sold the dies to NAI which still make this design. The former owner of deMco, Lon deMink now works as the salesman for Dialight's North American business unit.

Did not sell it at a high enough price??? :glare:
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

Maybe he took up working at Dialight as something to do, not out of financial necessity.

I didn't ask him why but I figured maybe there was some financial reasoning behind it. Maybe it was in his best interests to sell to NAI, not sure if he worked there before Dialight.

Lon's a great guy. He emailed me last night asking if I got in contact with the distributor. Told him I've ordered now I'm waiting for the shipment and the bill.
